Kristen Anne Bell was born in the year 1980. She is an American singer and actress. Bell is an Michigan native, born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen is Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen found her talent in entertainment at an early age. When she was in 1992, the actress attended her first audition. She was successful and got an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom signed her up with an agency before her 13th birthday. She then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. Additionally, she began to take acting lessons privately. Bell was credited with a minor part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production that was The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater upon the completion of her studies. Bell dropped out of school in 2001, and began taking on the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In the is the year she had her first credit debut as Pootie Tang. Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and she was only seen in the credit sequence. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell made an appearance as a character in The Crucible, a Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
